With space being the final frontier in human exploration there is much that we still need to learn. An important part of space travel is the nutritional considerations of the astronauts. Grace Douglas is the Advance Food Technology Lead Science at the Johnson Space Center and will be able to give us firsthand knowledge of how this intricate process is executed.

Attendees will:
• gain a better understanding of the nutritional requirements that are considered for food development for space travel
• get an insight into NASA’s process of developing food that is shelf stable for an extended period of time
• understand how NASA's food scientists often work with limited resources
