This webcast was organized with the support of IFT's Refrigerated & Frozen Foods Division.

The Food Safety Modernization Act’s (FSMA) Sanitary Transport rule is expected to impact food transportation requirements at many levels. Proposed changes include more stringent temperature monitoring requirements; adequacy of temperature requirements to ensure food safety; responsibilities for shippers, carriers, and receivers; guidance on international shipments; and key exemptions in the food supply chain, particularly FSIS regulated products. Though many firms will likely already be in compliance, the rule will provide more information on future inspections and enforcement.

The webcast will highlight industry best practices as well as introduce tools that can assist firms with ensuring readiness for implementation of the final rule.
