Food companies can partner with farmers to amplify sustainability efforts and accelerate adoption of new technology. Major companies, like Campbells Soup Company, recognize that sustainability starts with the seed. By prioritizing sourcing of U.S. grown ingredients from farmers who practice environmental stewardship, the food industry can incentivize ecological agriculture and create sustainable supply chains by increasing farmer profitability. These efforts increase company’s bottom line while supporting social responsibility goals.

In this panel session, attendees will hear from a sustainable sourcing professional on how teaming up with farmers helped meet the company’s economic, environmental and social sustainability goals. Panelists will discuss revenue growth opportunities that stem from collaborating with farmers – as well as the AgTech innovations, such as supply chain traceability and carbon sequestration, being adopted by today’s farmers. Partnerships between food companies and farmers provide an opportunity for the entire supply chain to work together to address sustainability goals.

Attendees will learn how food companies can reach their goals (economic, environmental, etc.) by teaming up with farmers.
Attendees will learn about sustainable AgTech innovations in farming (such as supply chain traceability and carbon sequestration) and the importance of the food industry supporting sustainable farming.
Attendees will learn how sustainable farming initiatives are shifting the food industry as a whole.
