Pursuing an academic career can be a challenging process, especially considering the competitive hiring landscape and differences in higher education systems throughout the world. This webinar will provide members with basic insights into the current status and types of academic careers, with an emphasis on those related to food science. Academic systems in China and in the West (e.g., UK and US) will be discussed and compared. Members will learn about the existence of different systems, and strategies to pursue their career accordingly.
