The Carbohydrate Division is hosting a Student-Member Hackathon on developing better-for-you carbohydrate-rich food products. Students will be given a period of 10 days to plan and come up with their idea to create carbohydrate-rich foods that support health.

Teams will be judged on technical accuracy and feasibility of proposed solutions. Participants will be randomly assigned to teams, who will have the chance to work together digitally. On the second date of the program, teams will be asked to present their strategy to create a health-supporting, carbohydrate-rich food product and will participate in a Q&A with judges.

This event is a great way to inspire innovation and to work and network with like-minded individuals from around the world, as well as engage with the IFT Carbohydrate Division.
