There are many ways to think about business networking, but it should always start with a purpose.  Once you understand why you want to network and with whom, you can go about setting the best strategy to make that happen.  Perhaps you are going to be attending an event, and want to meet as many people as possible, then a strategy should be developed around that.  Or, perhaps there is someone that you are really interested in getting to know that you believe will be instrumental in your career.  Or, maybe a bit of both.  Like most things, though, you will be more successful if you are able to have a strategy in place prior to set about networking.

In this brief course, you will better understand:
- How to cover as much ground as possible when networking at an event
- The best way to follow up with people you have met and turn those meetings into relationships
- How to use Emotional Intelligence as a tool to aid you in making meaningful connections, rather than just collecting business cards
